This policy explains how we handle refunds and cancellations of donations made to Chief Relief Fund, BTC.
1. Donations are generally non-refundable
As donations are voluntary gifts applied promptly to charitable activities, they are generally non-refundable once received.
2. Erroneous, duplicate or unauthorised transactions
If you believe a donation was made in error, charged more than once, or made without authorisation, please contact us within 7 (seven) days of the transaction with the receipt/reference number and proof of payment. On verification, an approved refund will be processed to the original payment method, ordinarily within 5–7 working days, subject to the timelines of the bank/payment gateway.
3. Effect on tax receipt
If a donation for which an 80G receipt has been issued is refunded, the corresponding receipt stands cancelled and must not be used to claim any tax benefit.
4. Recurring donations
Where recurring/standing donations are offered, you may cancel future instalments at any time by contacting us; amounts already collected are governed by clause 1 above.
